CSS Profile & IDOC

This is an application Private or Out of State school will need you to complete. It is very thorough financial aid application. Confirm the schools you are applying to require this application before you complete it.

Account

  • Use college board account you created when you signed up for the SAT or an AP exam

Documents you will need​

  • Recent Tax Return (Parent & Student)

  • W-2 (Parent & Student)

  • Record of Untaxed wages & Benefits

  • Bank  Statements

  • Records of Bonds, Trust, Stocks and Savings

Completing the Application

  • Use the documents listed above to fill out the sections that require specific data about your families assets

  • Look over the application once you finish, ask counselor for guidance if you need extra support

  • Agree to Terms & Conditions before you save and complete the application

  • Pay to Complete the Application

This tool is used to upload financial documents. Some schools will ask for the IDOC information along with the CSS Profile. You will upload documents you used to fill out the CSS Profile with.

  • Use college board account to access IDOC

Documents you will need

  • Tax Return (Parent & Student)

  • W-2 (Parent & Student)

  • 1099 (If applicable)

  • Documentation of untaxed wages

  • Records of bonds, trusts, stocks, savings

Completing the IDOC

  • Make a PDF of each document

  • If you are a non-filer or have not worked IDOC will require you to fill out a specific form

    • DocHub is a good app you can use to write on and sign​ the forms (you will not have to print out the form)

  • Upload a completed PDF of each required form​

  • Check to confirm the documents have been uploaded at the bottom of the dashboard

If you received an SAT, ACT, or college application fee waiver you may qualify for the CSS Profile fee waiver.

Please confirm before you begin.

If you do not qualify for the fee waiver

  • Application fee: $9

  • College/University fee: $16 each

 

If you have to pay out of pocket, select the top schools you want to enroll in.

Once you pay the application will officially be submitted to the schools you selected.

Noncustodial parent - parent not taking care of you. (divorced/never married)

If parents are divorced or never married get both financial documents.

Situation with noncustodial parent:

  • Not in communication

    • Fill out form stating you can not get documents from noncustodial parent

  • In communication

    • Parent must create a noncustodial parent CSS Profile account to fill out their required information
